I just stumbled upon a rather interesting entry in the CFMU

10:00 10:16a 20:39A IYE7000 B74S LFPG KLAX 7O-YMN Yemenia

In other words, it would appear that the Yemenia 74SP will arrive at LAX, inbound from CDG, at 12.39pm local time today, February 20th 2012.

Is Yemen's President Saleh going to LAX? I know he was in Saudia Arabia for medical care a while back. Maybe he needs something from the UCLA hospitals?

He was in NYC a few weeks ago for medical care but he traveled then on a EK charter. Not sure if this is really him or where is he is going.

Maybe he's going home, because he toured where I work last week. So, I imagine maybe it came in to pick him up and take him home.

I can give no guarantees but I'll keep my eyes on the flight plans and will inform you accordingly. But, given the duration of the flight I would assume it to stay there for at least 48 hours. I'm also interested to see to where it's going to fly back. Paris again, or Sana'a direct?

It'll be interesting to see where the plane takes him next - or if indeed, if this plane will take him to his next stop. the US agreed to take him temporarily for medical care, but the US does not want to keep him any longer than that. But I don't know if anybody has agreed to take him for exile.

They filed the flight plan quick and then were gone!

I got my Flightware alert when they filed the flight plan at 7:02am local, by 8am they were airborne so sorry, not much advance warning.

A post on flyertalk says it was the President (well I guess former Pres now) and there was also a UAE 747-300 parked next to it.

Anybody know about the 743?
