KLM has rolled out a new program that let's you choose your seatmate before you fly. If you have Facebook or LinkedIn you can see who your potential seatmate is and choose your seat based on similar interests.

I am sure there was a site set up a few years ago called airtroductions that offerd an kind of on line dating service.
