Hello,

I am just got done watching a part of the local news (WFMZ) They said there is going to be a new airline (They mentioned Frontier, or increased Allegiant service)

I would love to Spirit come to our little market after Fl(Southwest) dropped service.

Any speculations on who is going to be coming/increasing?

The article says new service, not new airline, and F9 is not part of Southwest. I think you mean FL

oops. messed that one up.

But in this article; http://www.wfmz.com/news/news-region...02/9138516/-/15najdnz/-/index.html

It does mention either F9 coming or G4 expansion (not sure where else they would expand to, maybe LAS?)

No chance on LAS service from AVP. YNG won't get it cause it is cutting it close with the MD80s and we've seen in recent weeks Allegiant cutting their routes from the Ohio Valley to LAS due to a) fuel prices and b) needing their 757 for Hawaii service.

My guess is Frontier as it seems they have been expanding into Allegiant markets as of late.

It is Frontier with new service to Orlando! I don't see a PR yet but it is on their Facebook site and website.

Hmmm... MDT has a 2pm press conference to announce new non-stop service to Orlando. According to F9's website it looks like they'll be doing MDT-MCO Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
Good stuff. Hope it lasts.

The flight schedule is:

MCO: 8:31 am
ABE: 10:58 am

ABE: 11:40 am
MCO: 2:00 pm

Flight is operated with an A319 flying on Tuesdays and Saturdays - fares are starting at $90 one way. F9 will fill FL void as well as compete with G4 who flies to SFB from ABE

I didn't see the Tuesday for MDT (the plane goes to ABE on Tuesday) but it looks like same schedule (close) but to MDT. Wonder if they'll announce anything for Mon and Wed ?

Ah I didn't see this one, but it looks like MDT to MCO as well!

MCO: 9:01 am
ABE: 11:18 am

ABE: 12:00 pm
MCO: 2:13 pm

A319 flights as well

I did a dummy booking for July 10-17th (both Tuesdays). F9 480 MCO-MDT at 2:45PM and F9 481 MDT-MCO at 5:45PM
So it looks like it flies MCO-ABE-MCO-MDT-MCO on Tuesdays.

MCO: 8:31 am
ABE: 10:58 am

ABE: 11:40 am
MCO: 2:00 pm

MCO: 2:45pm
MDT: 5:02pm

MDT: 5:45pm
MCO: 7:58pm

EDIT: looks like F9 481 is only on Tuesdays, the other days it's F9 479 leaving MDT at noon.

Thanks for looking that up!

F9 has quite a few routes in Pennsylvania now!

PHL: DEN, CUN, MKE
MDT: DEN, MCO
ABE: MCO
PIT: MKE

I think that also there is PHL-PUJ, and then PIT-CUN/PUJ as well, being operated for Apple Vacations. I believe F9 applied for these authorities, and I think that they received them all, although someone can correct me here if not so.

And this is putting about 10 or so F9 n/s destinations out of MCO now?

Between trying to do all of the replacements of the FL/WN MCO discontinued flying, and the Apple Vacations flying, and the SCASD and other grants flying, a lot to keep track of with F9 here.

And when is PUJ going to show up on the route map?
