Please use this thread to discuss any new route update from any carrier since their will be more to come im sure now Malev is not there anymore.
Please use the other thread about a possible Malev replacement for discussions on that topic.
The First update is Ryanair:
Ryanair will base 5 737-800's at Budapest and open up routes to :
- Billund
- Dusseldorf Weeze
Due to already high demand frequency will be increased on flights to:

This next one is quite interesting, after Ryanair announced BUD - TSF, now Volotea, the new Venice based LCC will start flights to BUD as well.
Volotea will start operations at Budapest Airport on April 25th, following the establishment of its first operating base at Venice’s Marco Polo airport.
The initial route Budapest-Venice Marco Polo will link the two cities three times a week, every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Starting on April 25th, schedules will be as follows:
Budapest-Venice Marco Polo Venice Marco Polo- Budapest
Wednesday 19:30 20:15 17:45 19:05
Friday 20:05 21:40 18:20 19:40
Sunday 13:35 15:10 12:15 13:35

I am really surprised I haven't heard anything from EasyJet, especially since their service is few notches above Ryanair and Wizz and they are also targeting business travellers. They could add flight from their hubs at Madrid, Milan Malpensa, Rome Fiumicino, Liverpool and Manchester and from other cities such as Zurich and Amsterdam.

Maybe it's because U2 doesn't have a/c available, a couple of summers ago, U2 was really short on a/c and coudln't deliver a full schedule, hence it got Titan Airways to supply a/c.
What happened with Malev wasn't that long ago, perhaps they will announce it for their winter 2012/2013 schedule

That's probably the reason but I am surprised they can't find A319/320 on lease or second hand, even only short term, or ask a favour to Airbus. They could also delay some of the aircraft retirements.

Quoting kl911 (Reply 12): Wow, I NEVER saw this one coming. Would the HV flight have a KL codeshare as well?
No, they never codeshare if both KL and HV have the same route (see MAD and LIS). Moreover which connecting possibilities would one have with a 23:35 arrival in AMS?
BTW Wasn't Ryanair suppose to fly daily EIN-BUD? If I look at their timetable for S12, I only see 4 weekly.
