TW At LGA, Concourse Question

Posted (2 years 5 months 2 weeks 3 days 15 hours ago) and read 2032 times:

Can anyone tell me which concourse TW utilized at LGA? I found several photographs in the data base that shows TW acft. at gates 23-25, but those gates do not match current gate numbers at LGA.
I'm assuming that TW utilized the same concourse from when the terminal opened in 1964, until 2001.
Thanks for any assistance.

It was neat watching those huge TWA L-1011's at those small LGA gates. I remember seeing DL's and EA's Tristars too. Those were sure the days at LGA.

They had the whole B concourse. Towards the end it was a ghost town.

Ironically, now between Southwest, JetBlue, Airtran, Midwest and Spirit, that concourse is bursting at the seams

Yep, although AA was able to avoid that restriction because they had the western-most "wing" of the CTB so there was nothing but open space in back of the entire west side of their section of the terminal.

DL also used the B from 1969 until the DL / NW terminal was finished in 1984. North Central also used the B from the time they began LGA service in 1970 until UA's LGA pull down opened up gates on C in the early 1980s.

I don't know which concourse Northeast used prior to the DL merger. D was 100% AA until after deregulation, so it must have been A or C.
