There used to be a DXB-HAM-JFK service in addition to the regular DXB-HAM. This was dropped for commercial reasons.
The DXB-TUN service used to be via TIP - i.e. DXB-TIP-TUN. This now operates as a direct DXB-TUN services since services to TIP were cancelled following the outbreak of civil war in Libya.

After hearing how badly loads are on EK's new DXB-SEA , it got me thinking... Has EK cut any routes before?
IIRC, JFK also started out horribly. Before we knew it, it was served 3x daily. Yes, the HAM flight came and went, but that still leaves JFK served twice daily with one A-380, and a third flight rumored to return.

Yes Moroni in Comoros Islands, flying DXB-HAH-JNB with A310-300!
Out of topic: do they have (EK) any plan to launch Madagascar? I am sure a DXB-TNR flight 5w would work. Many cultural links between Madagascar and Indonesia, China and India.
And maybe to launch flights to RUN to attack AF on the overseas department market.
