I just saw that Atlas Air has started operating a former ABX 767-200 for DHL on flights to San Diego and has plans to operate an additional four aircraft in the near future. Does anyone have any info or insight as to why ABX is giving up the flying and why Atlas is taking it on?

Also, ABX has started flying its first 767-300 in this minimal livery.

What are ABX's plans going forward? What are the prospects for the company? For that matter, what about ATI and Capital Cargo?

Thanks in advance for any info/apologies if this has been discussed recently.

I cant find any articles, all I see are Atlas Air is acquiring some of ABX's 762SF's.

The same 767 has been flying the SAN-PHX-CVG since GTI has been flying the route since March 9th. Which is:

If you click the link and scroll to the bottom. it shows they are still acquiring some 767's. Other than that, I cant find any press releases or nothing.

Hey LAXintl,

Thanks for the useful article on Atlas Air's evolving market strategy. It had just the kind of info I was looking for.
Have you seen anything similar on ABX, ATI, or Capital Cargo?

Thanks,

Edward
