Silver Airways Announces Job Openings For New Gainesville Regional Airport
"Silver Airways Corp. is staffing-up in advance of the April 15, 2012 opening of its new station at Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV). A total of 11 jobs are currently open, including positions for station manager, supervisor and customer service agent. An additional 20-30 openings will be filled in the coming weeks for technical, operations, and administrative positions at the carrier’s new 61,000 square-foot maintenance facility located on the southwest quadrant of Gainesville Regional Airport."
"The application to serve Altoona and Johnstown, Pa., from Dulles on behalf of United marks a new chapter for Silver, which until now has focused on bolstering its Bahamas network by replacing 19-seat Beechcraft 1900Ds with 34-seat Saab 340B+s purchased in cash from Saab Aircraft Leasing. The first Saab is expected to operate revenue service in the coming weeks."
