Now that AB has joined Oneworld and will somewhat fill the gap in central Europe for the alliance, what can Oneworld do to fill the gap in Mainland China which is the largest gap for the alliances network. After MU decided to join Skyteam the two best remaining options are CA given its relationship with CX, however CA appears to be content in Star, and HU which has expressed its desire to join Oneworld in the past, however it has been prevented from joining due to lack of approval from CX. CA appears to be the best option as CX has expressed its desire to have CA in Oneworld but previous research shows the PRC government may not approve of such a move as they want CA to be in the largest global alliance. What are your thoughts? Thanks in advance for any input.

Looks like AA and HU just signed a codeshare agreement.
