My husband worked as an overnight aircraft cleaner (washing) when he was attending A&P school. The job duties were ok, but what he benefited from was being able to speak with mechanics. They were friendly and answered his questions.
If you are not going to be an AMT, then this job may be very tiring.

If you want to be an AMT this is a good foot in the door while you get your A&P. I can't speak for other airlines but at Delta aircraft cleaners are on the maintenance senority list. When they get their A&P they can bid AMT jobs and keep their place on the list. A year or even months can make a big difference when bidding a job. I was hired at the end of a hiring window. During our last shift bid a guy three months ahead of me was 30 spots ahead. He had the choice of 2nd or 3rd for four different crews. I had the choice of 2nd or 3rd for only two different crews. Four guys after me had a choice of one crew. That guy might make dayshift years before I do.

I know of many people who have worked a midnight shift and then gone to school right after work. They slept a little during class and the rest at home after school / before work.
If your gonna be washing for United then you will not keep your seniority if you decide to become a mechanic. Different classification means starting at the bottom again. However you will keep company seniority for flights and other stuff.
It's a good way to get into a company, cause a lot of postions go internally and never make it to the outside world. Especially management positions which I see you are interested in from previous posts.
