An 83-year-old Colombian woman faces criminal charges after she allegedly claimed she was carrying a bomb in a flight headed for Bogota from Miami, officials said yesterday.

Beatriz Escobar de Rodriguez was arrested on Wednesday night after the American Airlines flight she had boarded returned to Miami International Airport.

It was reported that the woman had an argument with a flight attendant who told her that her luggage was too large. When the luggage was taken away from her, she said it had a bomb inside."

Authorities later checked the woman's luggage, but found nothing suspicious.

Reminds me of that numby I saw on the Airport show here in Australia a few weeks ago who joked at check in that he had some hashish with him. He didn't fly that day. Big grin
