Hey,

Yeah I cant wait for the Canada 3000 A340-300. Though correct me if im wrong but the first A340-300 will not be used on the European routes this winter because it will be flying from YYZ-DEL, DEL-YVR, YVR-DEL, DEL-YYZ and that would take up from Monday to Saturday I beleive, and on Sundays it would be used down to Punta Cana Dominican Republic and Back to YYZ. Who knows, the second A340 might be used on the MAN and LGW route.

Regards,

BWIA330

The A340 will be doing European runs for the first month to finish the pilots line-indoc, the it will start India in October, I think that it arrives early sept around the 9th.

I heard the 340 is sked to arrive YYZ on the evening of Sept 19th. The registration is/will be C-GZIA. Apparently they'll be using it on current random 330 and 310 routes until the first sked India flights start in October.

The 340 arrives Sept. 19th @YYZ. India won't be a flop and you don't have to fly on it Slawko unless you are seniority challenged or language qualified.

Gatekeeper, I was joking when I said "If India is a Flop" I don't think it will be, nor did I ever say I did.

Based on my schedule for this month the A340 does arrive on the evening on Sept 19 first in YQX @21:35, then YYZ @ 23:35 as flt#981. It'll likely be pax-less and will only have a purser& pilots on board to bring it home to YYZ from TLS.
Lucky me i will be operating this new a/c into CDG and SXF shortly after it's arrival into YYZ in Sept.
India a flop? i doubt that. Rumour has it the crews will be hand-picked for the first two months of the India flights and the crews will have special uniforms for these months also. I will also try and grab a few snap-shots of this a/c in the next couple of weeks.
From us over here at c3..........the crews are excited about this new addition to the family, and most of us operating on it in Sept are both lucky and excited to "break-it in" before..........well before it smells like everyother a/c.
I do have all the times it is scheduled to land at it's European desintation in Sept, as well as YYZ, YMX, YQX, and YHZ Want them and i'll post but to many to list them all in one post(not to mention i'm lazy right now and experiencing LGW time in YYZ). Sorry for you hamilton and calgary fans, it won't likely be there in the next couple of months. The second A340 is scheduled to arrive in Dec.

ciao

by the way watch for the new A319 to arrive in Oct and Nov
A319-112 delivery:10/01 REG: C-GKYA
A319-112 delivery:11/01 REG: C-GKYB
A319-112 delivery:11/01 REG: C-GKYC

Also, not likely to see any 767's in the near future, likely an extension of leases on the 757's.
That's it for now

Just to clarify cmm340's post. YQX is unlikely to be the first point of landing on an airplane that can fly 19+ hrs. The times are off as well even considering local times as it takes 2+ hrs to get to YYZ from YQX. The A340 will fly direct from Toulouse to YYZ in C3 colours. The first 319 will not arrive Oct. 1 but rather the third week of October.

GK

Hey GateKeeper
Perhaps there must be an error in my work schedule then because the pairing for is as follows:
flt:#981 Dep: TLS@20:00 Arr: YQX@21:35 blocked flt time: 06:50
flt:#981 Dep: YQX@21:50 Arr: YYZ@23:35 blocked flt time: 03:15
You could very well be right GK but this IS in my schedule for next month, so perhaps it is a crew planning error. Would the fact that this a/c will be pax-less and practically empty not effect the 'normal' flt times?
As for the A319's this is taken directly from:
http://www.bird.ch/bharms/asr_sh00.htm
I agree with you in that the actual delivery of these may very well be weeks after the date posted on this above listed site. Just was browsing, found this link and found the info interesting.

Cheers

Hmmm......my apologies cmm340. I haven't seen the pairings but my guess would have to be initial qualification of crews. Probably 2 captains each getting a landing prior to revenue service.

I'm curious to find out just why you post stuff like that? Have you any idea that for every reasonable post you may make (and you have made a few), you more than detract from your credibility and ability to make your future points when you have one of your [many] tantrums?

You really do need to wake up and realize that opinions are neither right nor wrong. They are opinions. Attempting to beat someone up or intimidate them into silence does not your point make.

I don't even know why I'm being so nice here. Others might have more succinct language for you.

Best Regards, and try to remember it's a big sandbox: lots of room for everybody...

Buff

Nice comment Buff, BTW have you guys worked out where the crews will be stayin in DEL and BOM, and for how long? I know there are some cultural awarness courses scheduled for crews, but I would think that the pilots/flight attendant's groups would want to make sure that your hotels in India are top rate...

Slawko: I won't be doing the routes but I've heard through the grapevine the 5-star hotel in Delhi is walking distance to the Taj Mahal. I have no doubt the hotel in M'umbai (is that the correct spelling?) will be of similar quality if not in location.

GK might be more enlightened on these details...
