Shortly after signing up for a new batch of 77Ws, EVA Air is looking further still, with a possible order for 787-10s and 777Xs, saying that the 747-8 is not particularly attractive to the carrier.

(No indication yet of what might replace the MD11Fs, but the 7772LRF must be the most likely.)

So, a third likely customer (4th, if you include Qantas) for the 787-10 ...

The 787-10X is going to be very hard to resist as a regional aircraft for almost any Asian carrier (CX possibly being the exception with its focus on wide seats even on regional).

Even at 8-abreast, the 787-10X would still be a good 333 and 772A replacement for CX for regional and certain Aussie flights.

No surprise to hear that. I saw 747-8i as almost dead when it was born, and the 777X will put the final nail in the coffin.
How many possible 747-8i customers could there be left?

Would any airline in the world flying long haul not be interested in this aircraft?

These birds are mainly for BR's North America ops and later on cross-strait flights with mainland China.
I am sure they do interested in 77X for a long time, just as a number of other airlines CX, EK and so forth.
