Do the UK charter companies still use Sanford when flying into Orlando? Or have they switched over to MCO? I've recently seen photos at MCO with airlines Britannia in the background. If they now go to MCO, what airlines use Sanford other than Pan Am? Is the airport worth a visit when I'm in Orlando in October?
Finally, I will not have a car so I will be getting to sanford by Taxi. If I get dropped off at the terminal, will I be able to get to any good shooting areas by foot?

The UK charters currently using Sanford are Airtours, Monarch, Air 2000 and JMC(?). The exception is Britannia which uses MCO. However, I think Britannia have used Sanford on a number of occasions.
Hope this helps.

YHU - just for your information, MCO is the code for Orlando. If you are flying into there and want to get to Sanford or Daytona, there is a limo service by the name of DOTS(Daytona Orlando Transportation Service). You really don't need reservations but they do help. The price isn't too high even if you go all the way from MCO to DAB. They also make another stop but I am not sure just what it is, they also will deliver you door to door if you are going to Daytona. Good luck and post some pics if they come out like you want.

great flight schedule up on there...
Air 2000, Airtours, Monarch, JMC (which is using a britannia 767) pan am, southeast, planet, aeropostale, aeromexico, ATA L10s (go to europe) some 737 going to PAP with the abbriviation EMA (i havent figgered this out yet) ryan intl, and miami air are the frequent visitors. there is usually a suprise or 2. there is also a rebuilt connie there across the airfield in starport, the FBO.
thrusday, friday, saturday and sunday are the best days.
if they are landing on 27, the employee parking lot is the best spot. if they are using 9, which they are about 75% of the time, there are some spots, but they would be quite a hike walking. just head in the direction of the rental car area and walk along the backroads untill you find something that works.
