After 20 years JAL opens a new route into Europe. This new route will be.....Helsinki!
This along with Qatar airlines is good news for HEL airport. It will be interesting to see how the aiport will change. Currently the Helsinki long haul terminal has 8 gates. AY itself has 15 a340/a330 aircraft. In 2 years they will start receiving their order for 11 a359. Also there are many widebody charters, including 763 and 744.
Anyway's luckily for us JAL will be using the 787 on this route! First one to arrive to Helsinki We just have to hope Qatar will also use their 787.
