The odds seem stacked against BMI Baby's future survival on the take over by IAG, and the absence of any apparent interested parties to takeover the BMI subsidiary.
Would Ryanair return to BHD - possibly taking over the BHD - STN & BHD - EMA routes?
Also, with the recent expansion of European routes by BMI Baby at BHD it seems there will be a market gap to be filled.
It would be unlikely that Jet2 would move operations from BFS to BHD?

It is likely to become 'Fortress FlyBe' - they like airports where competition is limited. However if further parking could be provided then I wouldn't rule out easyJet or Jet2 moving from BFS, if they can get a better deal.
Easyjet tried their Luton route out of BHD and it never worked for them.. They have a big operation at BFS which seems to work well for them. Also with the restrictions on passenger numbers and aircraft movements in place at BHD, I could never see Easyjet moving back there.

I thought there was a German investment company interested in taking over BMI Baby and had been agreed this was not in the sale of BMI to IAG?
Im happy to be corrected...
The BHD base is still in its infancy, having only been operating for about a year... Knowing the current business model of BMI Baby, they constantly switch and for all we know the plug could be pulled at any time regardless of the takeover situation.
My mate regularly travels on the STN-BHD route and says it is rarely more than half full.
