I know this may be a dumb question, but I am pretty new to this, so i was wondering about what the hour requirements for regionals are on average. Thanks.

I think a good average for minimums is 1000 total hours and 250 instrument hours.

You should check the regional's web sites. I'm 19 and when I'm 21 I am going to apply to American Eagle. They require 1000 hours total time.

Air Canada's requirements

Completion of schooling to the university entrance level.
Ability to pass the Air Canada medical and visual acuity requirements.
Canadian Airline Transport Pilot licence,
current Instrument Rating and Multi-Engine endorsement.
Canadian citizenship or landed immigrant status.

Pilot applications far exceed job vacancies, so preference is given to candidates with qualifications beyond the basic requirements. These include, but are not limited to:

University degree or college diploma
Aviation College diploma
Current Military or commercial flight experience
Jet and/or glass cockpit experience
Additional language (s)

It doesn't mention hours, but the more the better I imagine.
