Just wondering if any one has basic info about this small concourse. I don't remember it being there when the new terminal opened but remember seeing it a few years later. Im guessing it was built for West Pac or expantion as a result of them. Was it ever in fact used by any airline. If my memory is correct, I seem to remember Mesa being listed as using it when they ran 1900s to ABQ, is this correct? Does it just sit moth balled now? It looks like a pretty considerable facility to have never been used besides a one or two daily t-props (from google earth 4 jetways plus 4 or 5 turboprop parking spots), I just never recall having seen anything ever parked there the few times I went through COS, even in the West Pac days.

not trying to stray off topic, but Im surprised COS hasnt updated their name from "Colorado Springs Municipal Airport" to something more like Regional. Municipal just always seems like its reserved for smaller rinky dink airports. Most cities of its size use Regional , or International in their names.

I fly in and out of COS a few times a year- I'm here now, actually- and I've never seen any aircraft over at those gates. Honestly, I've never seen the airport busy enough to need those gates- there are 1 or 2 gates in the main terminal that I don't think are used. My guess is the OP is right in assuming they were built as part of an expansion around the WestPac era. Still- it is a decent airport that is easy to fly in and out of.
