Flight Attendants at Hawaiian Airlines voted yesterday to ratify a tentative agreement which will provide for a 15% pay raise over a 4 year period placing them at or near the top highest paid group in the industry. When new per diem rates are factored in, the increase in pay is nearly 19%.
The new pay rates will be retroactive to March 7, 2012 and the contract will run through March 2016.
At present, HA has just over 1400 flight attendants with crew bases in HNL and LAX.

Wow...impressive!

And they did it without taking forever, and with managements blessing.

Seems like the culture at HA is fantastic

Nothing but good news has been coming out of Hawaiian Airlines lately!

Congratulations, and hope the success continues!

Will they be more productive to counteract the increase?

Will they deliver better service to counteract the increase?

I'd like to see quantifiable figures at some point in the future.

Says right in the second link:

The pay increase will be "offset by increased productivity," said Keoni Wagner, Hawaiian Airlines spokesman.

Per the news, yes: The pay increase will be "offset by increased productivity," said Keoni Wagner, Hawaiian Airlines spokesman.

I'm not sure it could get better. HA's FAs are the best in the US (IMHO). They are the only airline I'm aware of that overstaffs above FAA minimums on domestic flights and still serve complimentary meals....all while flying to a supposedly "unprofitable leisure destination."

-Aloha!

P.S. congrats to HALFA...I'm assuming you voted "yes"

Thanks! Sorry, for the first time - and I do mean that - I didn't scan or read the provided links before posting. A good lesson there.

Actually, "yes" wasn't an option. I voted "for"!

Hate when they use multi-year totals. That is about 3.56% per year.

That is a lot more than anyone else is getting...........

..........I took a 12% salary cut last 3 years ago, along with a productivity increase of ~10% last year.
