I have heard a rumor that Air France will be switching from the A340 to the 777 to IAH this winter. Can anyone verify this?

I checked AF's website. Yes, they are switching 340 to 777 to IAH.

Not the first time they have flown the 777 to IAH. It has switched once before.

Does anyone think the AF/CO code share arrangement
will last given Skyteam's growth and the Concorde
lawsuits? If the alliance ends, then the AF IAH route
may be in for some trouble, although I think AF has
operated to Houston continuously for many years,
even before CO launched its own flight.

Air France has been @ IAH as long as I can remember. Its not likely the Concorde crash and Continental problems will effect Air France's flight to IAH.
Also, they seem to switch to a 777 during the late fall, winter, and early spring and then switch back to an A340 for the rest of the year.

I doubt that AF will ever stop serving Houston. They've been flying here since the late 70's. AF and CO will keep their codeshare between CDG and EWR/IAH, but nothing more than that.
