According to www.airlinersonline.com:

"Virgin Atlantic Airways (London) is considering canceling their eight options for the new Airbus A340-600 (they hold ten firm orders with both G-VSHY, msn 383 and G-VMEG, msn 391 due in June 2002) in favor of supporting the proposed Boeing 777-300"

773 will look great in Virgin's colours. But why to buy the most expensive aircraft , when they have a cheaper and similar Airbus version? Good luck anyways!

LOL Big grin

Airlines just don't cancel firm orders unless there's a damn good reason- which I don't see in this case.

We all wish that were true, but I'm guessing it isn't.

I will love to see Virign operating the B777-300s too but i don't see the reason for them to cancel the A346 order.

The cancellation is not the order, only the options. As it says nowhere that options should be taken up this is a non-issue.

If Virgin wants 773, why not? Makes them cheaper for KLM as development cost can be spread over a larger number  Innocent

In other words, another A-B troll...
