With Summer season started, lookes like EK is filling up the 200LR very quick from Seattle.

Do you have any information? The last 'load factor' thread on this flight was more pessimistic. But... there was *nothing* but opinions in that thread. I'm very curious how the route is doing.

Took a friend to the airport Sunday, and went on up to Seattle for a few things. Saw the Emirates landing and take off from the east west freeway, just to the north of the runway. Fun. It looks great.

I fly this flight in a month. Should be very interesting to see how full the flight will actually be after all the discussion on here.

Two rules in aviation, don't hit anything and don't run out of gas, cause if you run out of gas yer gonna hit something.

I still think EK should sponsor the Seafair this summer. That would definitely get the word out. Also, the UAE has been involved with the Hydro races for a few years now. Tim Clark...are you listening???

It's too bad that AS didn't add EK as an "elite qualifying" partner. That might have helped a bit.

Does anyone have a feel for how easy it is to redeem miles for flights on EK? Say, if one wanted to redeem AS miles to fly from SEA to Africa or Asia, how is EK's availability? Is it pretty good, or is EK a total joke like DL (a.k.a. the old bait-and-switch game) when it comes to aware availability?

I was at SEA on Tuesday. Took the tram ride to S terminal. Went up to check out the 777 and couldn't help but thinking to my self "that's the load?" I saw around 70-90 people waiting to board. Ground crew had all containers on-board the plane and all doors shut before passengers even started boarding.

Granted, I don't know about cargo or even the inbound flight. I sent a couple messages to friends, informing them this is a great airport to non-rev from!

You get EQM but they pull the BS of giving half miles unless it is full fare Y or better redemption I have heard will be starting soon, but I can see it costing a lot of miles, EKs skywards program blows as they require a lot of miles and sock you with the YQ fee. Unless you have a massive amount of AS miles I would not count on flying F on them soon.

I saw an EK 77L taking off over UW's seattle campus. I never truly realised how much of a marketing plus the big, red "EMIRATES' titles on the belly of the plane is.

Redemption of AS miles for EK travel is supposed to be starting late 2012. No word yet on what it'll cost you in miles. We're planning a trip to SE Asia for this fall....wait for possible J on EK or take CX? Tough call....

Next trip...DL RJ SEA-LAX/AM LAX-MEX Dec 23
