Just stubled onto this webpage:
http://www.porty-lotnicze.com.pl/Default2.htm(Click the link on the left).
Seems the new name is "Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport", after the famous composer of the 17th century. Does anyone have any info on this?

the airport got the name of the famous composer already some months ago. Last time I flew in they actually said after the landing “Welcome to Frederic Chopin Airport”.
The name is still fresh and everybody refers to the Warsaw airport as Okecie, which is the name of the city district where the airport is located.
