Apparently Etihad is planning to open an HQ in Manchester (EGCC). Any thoughts people?

Its it bit more than a call centre..
I going to be their European Headquarters for marketing, route developments, media contacts, further they have already started to use Manchester facilities for maintenance as well.

Further you all know they sponsor a certain small sporting team and their park bench don't you ?

The media bit is encouraging as they may well be the beginning of a wave of companies moving their media heads to Manchester in the coming few years to be near to the the developing Media City Projects - BBC news etal..........

With Flybe hub and Etihad plans things look good for MAN. I hope they don't bring the 77W back though, they are the worse that I have flown on.

Add into the mix that EY have a maintenance hanger at MAN, along with this european HQ, sponsoring Manchester city, sponsoring their home ground and they are investing in the local area aroubd the ground too. Also Abu Dhabi investments are looking at buying into MAG. Could get interesting
