This new Air France flight, operated by Britair, will arrive in the Hungarian capital twice a week, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, using a 100-seater Bombardier CRJ1000 type aircraft.

I wonder if 2x a week is enough to attract business travellers.

AF adding a flight at LYS rather than cutting back? This is news indeed!

Certainly not, but BUD is a popular tourist destination, and that is likely what this route is for. Filling a CRK in the summer shouldn't be too difficult.

Nope, but they wouldn't be seeking them on this route.

Well, somebody thinks different:

“We have been planning to open a direct flight between Budapest and Lyon for a long time,” commented Botond Melles, country manager for Air France-KLM in Hungary. “Lyon has been one of the most sought-after destinations amongst our business travelers and corporate clients from Budapest for years"

Well, good luck with their twice-weekly frequency then. Unless that is sufficient for the businesspeople between the two cities, which is highly doubtful. Anyway, I note that EZY said that its new LGW-LUX service, initially four-weekly weekly, will be good for businesspeople on this business-heavy city-pair (Luxembourg-London) - despite multiple-daily offerings from other competitors. So, I wouldn't pay too much attention to what they said.
