I have never heard of this before, but GEG is going out for bids for what is called "Voluntary Airport Low Emissions (VALE) Project." Is this just another pork barrel project, or are there bonified benefits for the enviorment? Click on the link below and then scroll down to page B-10. To the right you will see a small version of the bid. Just click on it to enlarge. It lists all of the items in the project.

Oh, there are definitely huge benefits to this project. Making GPU and conditioned air available to airlines - passenger and cargo - will save the airlines a TON of fuel money as they can avoid running their APUs.
