Good afternoon,

As reported today by a Serbian aviation portan (aviokarta.net) the only Serbian charter airline, Aviogenex, leased two aircraft from the Turkish charter airline SKY Airlines.

The aircraft in question are TC-SKN and TC-SKP and will carry passengers from Belgrade to Antalya. The aircraft are 3 years old and have the capacity of 215 seats in all economy class configuration.

SKY Airlines did not receive the licence to operate this summer to Serbia after the civil aviation directorate refused their application. This was done mainly because of an unwritten rule of reciprocity. This summer the directorate had granted landing rights to Pegasus and Freebird Airlines.

It was after their application was refused that they had signed this agreement with Aviogenex. All flights will operate using Aviogenex's codes.
Flights will operate 4 times per week, on Mondays, twice on Thursdays and on Sundays.

I guess that this agreement only covers the market from Belgrade to Antalya. I do not think Aviogenex will be using these birds to other destinations from Belgrade.
It was reported earlier that the airline had launched negotiations to lease a Boeing B737-400.

Let's see what happens in the end.
