Cathay Pacific LAX Late Night Flights

Hi, I think that CX has three flights per day between LAX and HKG, 1 daytime flight and 2 late night flights.
Can someone tell how CX rotates these three flights? I know that CX884 becomes CX885 and return to HKG right after resting couple hours in LA. What about night flights? CX882 arrives in LA at 2:35pm and CX880 at 9:50pm. And CX883 leaves for HKG at 11:50pm and CX881 at 1:30am. Does CX880 become CX883 and return to HKG after resting 2 hours in LA? Or does it leave at 1:30 in the morning as CX881 so that it can rest more hours in LAX?

Also, I wonder how LAX based FAs operate these flights. Do they share the same flight with HKG based crews? Or they operate only on certain flights something like CX883 for HKG based FAs and CX881 for LAX crews?

Normally CX 880 does indeed become CX883. This is so that it can remain parked at a terminal gate whereas CX882 can stay on the outerbay for longer, as this is where it spends the afternoon and evening regardless of whether it arrived onto a terminal gate or outer bay. Variations to this is if the arriving CX880 has a maintenance issue that needs attention that they know of ahead of time in which case the aircraft which arrived on CX882 will be prepared to leave 'early' on 883.

LAX based F/As can operate any of the flights and often they are mixed up together with HKG-based crews. The same goes for the pilots.
