Since NWA ordered 54 Canadair CRJ-LR's, I'm wondering why they purchased the CRJ with a 2,300 NM range. I can't imagine they would fly a 50 seat jet on long stages, but why purchase these with a long range? Does anyone think NWA would have Mesaba fly from MSP or DTW to the west coast? NWA fills up their larger jets to fly out west. I can't figure why the long range. Any ideas on possible routings. Ralph
