Judging solely from the pictures and description, the CX new J class seems to trump the New SQ J class. The colours seem nicer on CX ( Red on SQ? Why?) . No dressing rooms or standup bar to "mingle" on SQ.
I just wonder why some posters here seem to feel the CX/SQ approach is better that BA's fully flat beds?

Hahaha yeah.
YOu know what would be great for this post? If someone could go through the archives and post the pictures for all three airlines J class so we can decide.

I have to agree with Bkkair that CX's new J class seats are better than SQ's new J class product.
SQ has also put a claim on its product to be the widest and longest in the sky without giving any particular specifications on their claim. What about other features of the product. The only features that talk about are:
- Longest and widest bed in the sky
- Larger TV screens
- AVOD and new IFE system incl. email/intranet

Anzett: What do you mean by "the rest of the product"???
And not for your benefit, however you will benefit from it, I will be getting specifications shortly.

Jiml1126 is incorrect that the new J class is only on the 340's.
From the CX press release:
"The new Business Class will be progressively introduced on long-haul aircraft in coming months. Another four brand new A330s with the new Business Class cabin are due to arrive direct from the Airbus factory in Toulouse, France later this year. The new Business class cabin will also be installed in all the airline's Boeing B747-400s."

Cathay Pacific's new Business Class will be installed in 4 Airbus A330-300 (international configured aircraft), all of Airbus A340-300 and Boeing 747-400 aircrafts.
The first Boeing 747-400 aircraft will fly in October and the first Airbus A330/340 are in service already...ahead of SQ who are planning their first aircraft in November.

Actually, I believe that their new Business CLass comes out this week if what they say on their site is correct (which is most likely)
