Spirit Airlies Flying To San Juan PR.

I just learned by friend of mine that Spirit Airlines will begin flying from EWR to SJU and FLL to SJU. Well actually the EWR service is a 1 stop flight It goes EWR-FLL-SJU & SJU-FLL-EWR MD-80 service. Starts Nov.8,2001. Your feed backs are welcome. Smile

Yes this news was broken out last week here in Puerto Rico. I posted it last week as soon as I read it in the newspaper . This route will be an obvious winner for Spirit and the flights will be always fully booked. I would expect other cities like Orlando and Tampa soon to be added from San Juan. Spirit took the step before JetBlue , lets see if JetBlue ever comes into SJU.

ATA will be starting MIA-SJU this fall also.

SJU is a goldmine! From MCO We fly a new 757-300 ( full most of the time ) and used to operate an L1011 ( full) AND a 727 daily during this summer. It is a very popular destination.

cheapos ...isn't your flight later this month ?

Yes my flight on ATA is on Aug. 28th . By the way Fly ATA my flight dosen't appear on the timetable at the ATA website. Im actually worried; has the flight been cancelled.

yes, that is the correct flight number.

Unless there is an aircraft swap that day you should be on the new 757-300.

Hey Chepos,

TZ 438 is a daily SJU-MCO-IND. It's been running for years. Hell, I took that very flight 3 years ago when it was operated by a 727. It should be a 753. You're lucky! Give us a trip report when you get back, huh?
