It says that Air Caraibes (TX) been announcing the withdrawal of its sole E190 for september
A group of TX pilots decided to launch a new airline to fly from PTP to FDF CAY PAP SDQ & HAV;
At first, they were thinking about taking 2 B737-700's and named the airline French Caribbean Airlines ....
They are in talks with politics of Guadeloupe (PTP), Martinique(FDF) & French Guyana (CAY), and now thinking about 2 B737-500's and the name retained for now is FREEDOM AIR
Air Ayiti would like to operate flights from Le Cap to MIA, PTY, NYC & Canada after the completion of the runway end of July 2012.
I wish them good luck; I trust that Freedom'Air has all their chances to succeed (especially with financial aids from the french government ! ); maybe they should change name cause Freedom Air is a luxury aircraft charter based in the UK and also an airline operating small airplanes (i.e Shorts & cessna)short in Guam and also used to be a low cost carrier in New Zealand

I'm not sure what to think of the Haitian airline but it is always good news to see more airlines starting up in our region. I wish them both the best of luck and hope Air Ayiti will also fly to Curacao. I would like to know which aircraft type Air Ayiti wants to use(?)
Didn't see that, thanks AFCDGPTP. I hope this airline gets started and most of all, I hope they will fly to Curacao. Demand should be there as there is a decent Haitian community here in Curacao.

I am surprised that PTP or FDF are not in their plans cause there alos have a big haitinans community there and it is one of the most profitable medium-haul route for AF ! But who knows ...
