Many people have been approached by security at SEL (haven't heard about ICN as yet) while taking pictures. I guess they're sensitive about the communists up North. Things will only get worse as World Cup 2002 approaches- that's for sure.

Photography is prohibited at Seoul ? Well, all I can say is I took a bunch of snaps at ICN on my layover there during the SIN-SFO flight on SQ016 last fortnight. Of course I didnt flaunt my camera. Also I dont even remotely look like a Korean.

I was at LAX about three weeks after the LosAngeles riots and photography was still not allowed. You have to keep in mind that Korea is still in a cold war with North Korea. It just depends how nervous the country is at the time. My brother was locked up in 1981 for photographing a B52 in Montana. So it is not all that long ago that the USA was feeling just like South Korea does today.
