Hi, there seems to be some activity around "America's Newest Airline" since it was last discussed here:
Any News On Baltia Air Flights? (by vlad1971 Dec 27 2011 in Civil Aviation)?threadid=5343630&searchid=5344152&s=air+baltia#ID5344152
New 747 Operator At JFK (by PanAm747LHR Jan 23 2010 in Civil Aviation)

According to what has changed on the website www.baltia.com the company "expects" to launch services in 2012.
* Their aircraft (remember, a 37 years old 747-200), has been painted.
* The routemap now only shows LED-JFK (earlier, several other Eastern European fantasy destinations were included)
* No more word of anything extravagant (upper deck lounge etc.) on the aircraft, just the usual Y/C/F.
* There will be an FF program called "Golden Rooster".

quote: "We have received the comment letter [concerning the FAA certification]. Our staff is now working to implement the comments in an efficient and timely manner."

So, could this be an indicator that indeed FAA approval might be granted soon?

Surely they could come up with something better than "Golden Rooster".

Sounds like a real cock and bull story to me.

Wasn't the FF program initially called Freeloaders?

Quoting Tobias2702 (Thread starter):

Yes like they have for the last 15 years.... maybe they'll be ready for a winter 2012/2013 launch...that should be fantastic season for a LED/JFK route on a fuel sucking 747-200... as much as I would love to see non stop JFK Eastern Europe, I have no faith in this venture ever launching...its almost like the worlds longest practical joke...
