Delta definitely has an impressive operation out of LGA, all the more so post July 11 when the second and final phase of the transaction kicks in.
From a connectivity point of view, it's too bad that DL is using the MAT for BOS/DCA/ORD and supressing connections over LGA to/from these cities (and noticed that these are excluded from your summary). Nicer for the O&D customer, but a lot of powerful connection opportunities lost.

Between LGA and ATL, there are 16 departing flights from LGA here on DL, and they begin at 6am and end at 9pm, and just about go every hour on the hour.....

Yes. I left BOS/ORD/DCA flights out of this, as Delta will not sell connections involving flights leaving from, or going to, the Marine Air Terminal (Delta won't even sell BOS-LGA-ORD connections)

Thanks for that.
Too bad DL doesn't sell these connections, but I guess they know what they're doing. But then I would guess that DL needs to have all of it's flights in one place in order to be able to do the connects. I was out at the MAT a few times, and it is a ways from the main terminal.

From oil from the ground....
I'm sure eventually we'll go to algae fuel or something.
Anyway, great to see DL's NYC ops developing so much! I remember reading about the expansion in 2005 when I first got into this site... all the haters saying DL would fail in NYC
LOL. I guess certain people would be more happy if Delta just closed up shop seeing as we *might* be out of oil in the next…. er… nobody actually has any idea when. I'm not sure what his point is? The demand is there for these flights, but we're supposed to ignore it and do what? Halt commerce until more sustainable energy is available? Talk about not making it 50 years, our economy would be gone tomorrow.

Not so sure about that. I was on the Shuttle from BOS last week and the gentleman sitting next to me was connecting to ORD. Another passenger was connecting to DCA.

If you go onto DL.com you can book ORD-LGA-BOS connections....choose schedule vs price.
And add to that FL's 9 daily flights (today at least) and MQ's 7 daily flights (again, today), and it's an insane amount of capacity. I think I read on Wiki it's one of the top-five domestic city pairs on the order of NYC-LAX, NYC-CHI, etc. Not sure how old that stat was, but it's a lot of seats each day regardless.

Yes, Delta will sell connections over LGA for DCA/LGA/BOS, but they surpress connections between the MAT and C/D. You can book them yourself point-to-point (or in the case of re-accommodation during IROPS) but the connections aren't "supported" so you have to claim your bags, take the PANYNJ bus or a taxi to the other terminal, re-check bags and clear security, etc. I've done it and it's not a huge deal but you need to allow at least 30 mins gate-to-gate without checked bags.

I totally agree with this point... the northeast shuttle, at one time a plus, is now hampering connectivity by operating out of the MAT.
25 Ezra: If Delta somehow got its mitts on all of terminal C at LGA (hypothetical examples: if US moves to the CTB as part of a hookup with AA; or if B6 and W
26 catiii: As a frequent Shuttler, I think one of the key benefits of the MAT is the fact that it is an easy on/off of the Grand Central and that much closer to

28 SHUPirate1: I only have one recent experience (two weeks ago today), but when I came in at the C Terminal, there was actually a very long line...of cabs waiting
29 catiii: Then you need to tell me what times your flying it, because in the 150+ or so times I have flown it over the last 2 years at least 50% of the time th
