I'm trying to reconstruct my travel history, and there was a period for which my records have been sent to a digital grave. Reconstructing from my old passports and other info, I know I flew TEH-ATH in August 1991, but I can't for the life of me recall what the carrier or aircraft type was. Can't even recall if it was a narrow body or a wide body. What I do know is
* It wasn't an Iranian carrier
* It wasn't an A340 or a Soviet type
* 1991 was waaaay past the time when it might have been QF on a stopping flight to Europe
Can anyone suggest what airline and aircraft it might have been? OA is the obvious possibility, and I'm pretty sure I subsequently flew ATH-CAI in an OA 73S. My flight to TEH was an SR DC10 from ZRH, but I definitely flew back via ATH. Could it have been an OA 72S or A300?
Would really appreciate anyone who can help me fill in this missing piece of my travel history!

Quoting timz (Reply 4): In 2/91 the only direct flights Europe to THR on non-Iranian airlines were
LH from FRA
TK IST
CY Larnaca
SU SVO
AF CDG
AZ FCO
OS VIE
SR ZRH
Thanks, timz. I'm grateful for this info. The suggestion that I may have flown in an OS MD80 to VIE does resonate just a little. Or maybe AZ to FCO . . . ? But that raises a question as to how I subsequently fetched up in ATH on board for CAI. More research required on my part! But my thanks for these suggestions anyway.

BA 767-300ER via Larnaca. If BA had traffic rights between Cyprus and Iran, perhaps you mistook Athens for Larnaca? Or flew a separate flight from LCA to ATH?
Thank you for correcting the three-letter code for Tehran Mehrebad btw.
fly Saha Air 707s daily from Tehran's downtown Mehrabad to Mashhad, Kish Island and Ahwaz

Quoting RWA380 (Reply 1): This is from 1983, sorry I didn't see anything closer, but IR once a week on a 707 Mo Only. Best of luck finding your flight!
