Avianca-Taca has converted three Boeing 787-8 options, adding to the 12 already ordered taking its total order to 15 airplanes.

It's too early to speculate where will the coming 787s be routed in the future.
The above press release states that AV-TA will take delivery the first 787 in July 2014.
I've previously read that AV/TA is planning the LIM-MAD service and perhaps the 787 fits perfectly in such route.
