The failure of both the main AND back-up power at a major airport is extraordinary.
This obviously affected the radar system.
Then to learn that both Don Mueang (old BKK) and Suvarnabhumi uses one radar system is even more extraordinary.

It is claimed that the power failure caused the longest airport radar failure in 45 years.
Not a record any airport will wish to hold
