What is the current relationship between Delta and Compass? Before the merger Compass was totally owned by NW, and the pilots of Compass a had a flow thru agreement to the NW mainline pilot ranks.
Compass is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trans States Airlines. However, DL owns all the 175s and hold the leases on the 170s. Just like how Mesaba is a subsidiary of Pinnacle but DL owns all their 900s. In fact, DL loaned TS the money to buy Compass...
So as someone else put it with Pinnacle a couple weeks ago, CP is sort of a wholly owned pawn of Delta Air Lines, Inc...
I have no idea what the flow through agreement is now although it wouldn't surprise me that it's no longer in place.

CAM2:"Lightning coming out of that one." CAM1: "What?"

For Compass...
FLOW UP/DOWN agreement:
**Flow Up
Flow up to Delta will be offered to all Compass pilots through a date of hire of 08/19/2010 (409 pilots); No Compass pilots hired later will flow up.
Delta will offer employment to an eligible Compass pilot before any other pilot candidate for hire in seniority order. To be eligible, a Compass pilot must: (1) be a Captain; and (2) have at least 30 months on payroll.
Unless waived by Delta & Compass, the max number of Compass pilots flowing up to Delta will be the lesser of: (1) 25% of total Compass pilots in any rolling 12-months, or (2) 20 per month.
A Compass pilot who fails initial training at Delta may return to Compass at his previous seniority and longevity.
**Flow Down
Even after the flow up has ended, a furloughed Delta pilot will have the right to flow down to a pilot position at Compass, and will be senior to all Compass pilots with one exception: No more than 10% of the positions at Compass are “protected rights” for pilots who do not wish to flow up. To be a protected rights Compass pilot, the actual offer to flow up must be permanently forfeit. Only protected rights pilots cannot be bumped and will be senior to all furloughed Delta pilots. The remaining 90% of the positions at Compass are reserved for furloughed Delta pilots.

Quoting FlyASAGuy2005 (Reply 6): I do have a question. If/when the new T/A is signed where can one find the contract online to read it?
Err...The actual contract itself is not public information. That being said, if you are friends with a Delta pilot, you might be able to ask them for a copy of it!
