Update On AA Wifi

Hi, I am wondering if anyone has any new info about AA and the Wifi they are supposed to be putting onto their 737s and MD-80s.

On the AA website they said they are going to be done by the first quater of 2013, but that is a very vague span of time.


Does anyone have the exact/pretty close estimate of all the planes now fitted with wifi?

The majority of their MD-80s have had wifi for years now. All the new 738s are rolling out with wifi already installed, and AA is actively retrofitting wifi on their older 73s.

The chances are still rather significant that if you are on an AA 738, you will not have WiFi. But, as others have said, they actually seem to be keeping their promise on this one and the 738 fleet should be all WiFi-enabled within a year or so.

The 757s on the other hand....
