The Phillies had a US A319 chartered to STL about 3 seasons ago. But we had a boat load of guys get picked. It was about 5 or 6. So all of the managers and everyone's families went. So I'm sure it does happen. Seeing that plenty of Rangers and Yanks got selected I'm sure they'll charter something.

I wonder if the players fly commercially or they hitch a ride on the clubs owner's plane? I am guessing if that is the case, the Downtown Airport will be a great place to do some plane spotting because most of the non-field activities are less than a mile away at the convention center.
So the Rangers and the Yankees might have some charters, who else? The Giants, Cardinals, or Nats?

The more high profile players may get on a NetJets or similar charter. I remember a story a few years back how Rodriguez and Jeter invited a couple players on their private plane for the trip. This most likely happens at the conclusion of a series and multiple players from both teams are involved in the All Star game. I would not look for too many chartered "commercial" flights.
