AE Flights At LGA - Broad Question

Hello from Seattle.

Pretty broad question here, but how well (on average) do the American Eagle flights out of LaGuardia perform in terms of load factor, on-time ops? Are these flights purely O&D? Do they have a loyal following given AA's presence in NYC? Also curious why AA doesn't consider mainline aircraft for these routes? Any thoughts to whether AE at LGA as a standalone airline would survive (i.e., a new New York Air?).

Thanks to all responses and for your time.
