Anybody know why there is a DL 757-200 (N713TW) flying flight 758 (which is usually ATL-JAX) right now from PIT to JFK? It looks like it was scheduled to depart at 5:20pm but actually did after midnight. The incoming flight came from ATL. It can't be a charter because the flight number is not a charter flight number.

It was actually a scheduled flight not a sub and not a charter. One time flight that would have otherwise been just a ferry flight that they decided to sell seats on. Repositioning to get the 752 back to JFK.
PIT-CDG operates off of the afternoon ATL-PIT flight. Usually on the days that PIT-CDG does not operate, the one flight from ATL will simply be a turn and the inbound CDG-PIT will continue onto ATL so there will be 2 752 back to back heading to ATL. They knew they would need one of the 757s at JFK ahead of time so instead of simply ferrying it they set it up as a live flight.
Why it was delayed for so long idk. That I can't look up right now.
CAM2:"Lightning coming out of that one." CAM1: "What?"

Smart thinking on their part. Not so smart on mine. I should have known that
