Seems like Boeing is having trouble with delivery of the 788, 0 in may and just 2 i June, there was 1 supposed to deliver July 11 but did not. Many frames have been waiting for a first flight a long time.

Something is up and Boeing ain't talking, sort of like the shim issue, it took them quite a while to come clean on that issue. This is not how you build confidence for a product!

Air India Boeing Dreamliners grounded by bureaucracy

Three of Boeing's(BA.N) cutting-edge 787 Dreamliners painted in Air India colours are parked in South Carolina, waiting for the ailing state carrier to pay for them and take possession.

India has not yet signed off on an undisclosed package agreed between Air India and Boeing, according to a senior government official directly involved in the process.

"We still do not have inputs from several ministries, including departments like expenditure secretary in the finance ministry. So the process is getting delayed," the official said on Wednesday, declining to be identified.

This article has a round-up of the upcoming 1st deliveries.
http://www.centreforaviation.com/ana...liveries-77875

Airline - 1st delivery - number of 787s delivered in 2012

Air India - July - 7 (hopefully)
Qatar - July/August - 5
Ethiopian - August - 4
China Southern - August - 3
United - September - 5
LAN - October - 2
LOT - November - 1

Some of the deliveries, like the LAN and LOT seem late, since the information in the article came from the airlines they might have given a conservative schedule bases on previous delays. The writers also didn't talk with Hainan Airlines that should also take delivery of their 1st 787s this year.

Don't blame Boeing they would've delivered 3 birds to AI had they signed a check!

LAN's first Boeing 787 L/N 68 (CC-BBA) is expected to begin test flights this month and should be delivered to LAN during August. LAN's second Boeing 787 L/N 74 (CC-BBB) is expected to be delivered to LAN during October.

All Things 787 commented on this yesterday. With so many planes ready for delivery, Boeing might not have enough staff and pilots available to simultaneously handle so many concurrent ground and flight tests.

As noted above, Boeing has three 787-8s ready for delivery to Air India whenever the Indian Government can find the time to pick them up.

NH has two birds that are scheduled for delivery this month, though ZA100 | LN 7 | JA803A may still need some additional work (it was the first production 787 so it needed the most re-work). QR could also get two this month, as well. And it's possible LA and ET could possibly get their first birds this month or next.
