Is OLT About To Go Under?

Apparently pilots at OLT Poland have yet to be paid for June (see pprune). That huge route expansion announced in April did seem a little over ambitious and raised some eyebrows at the time.

Does anyone have anything positive to say about the OLT situation?

I flew ZRH-BRE and BRE-ZRH in March and loads were disastrous - four pax plus myself on the F100 outbound and seven on the S2000 inbound.

Anecdotal, but as a full service carrier they have to be bleeding money.

Shame as their ham roll was epically brilliant. I dont get excited by sandwiches very often but their sandwiches are absolutely gorgeous.

What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

Interesting how Poland has 2 airlines with these letters - LOT, and OLT.

LOT is a word with meaning and OLT is just abbreviation.

Yes, a funny coincidence.

While LOT is a short form of the Polish "Polskie Linie Lotnicze", OLT is the abbreviation of the German "Ostfriesischer Lufttransport". A former regional airline from Ostfriesland (East Frisia in English) in the North-West of Germany.

Polskie Linie Lotnicze is PLL. LOT is LOT.

Polskie = Polish
Linie = Lines
Lotnicze = Aviation

LOT = Flight

While I have lots and lots of doubts about the expansion strategy of OLT Express Poland/Germany and its "interesting" owner Amber Gold in general, I think this rumour is unfounded based on some research with people I know well in the Polish airline industry.
