Quoting aeroblogger (Reply 2): Interesting how Poland has 2 airlines with these letters - LOT, and OLT.
Yes, a funny coincidence.
While LOT is a short form of the Polish "Polskie Linie Lotnicze", OLT is the abbreviation of the German "Ostfriesischer Lufttransport". A former regional airline from Ostfriesland (East Frisia in English) in the North-West of Germany.

While I have lots and lots of doubts about the expansion strategy of OLT Express Poland/Germany and its "interesting" owner Amber Gold in general, I think this rumour is unfounded based on some research with people I know well in the Polish airline industry.
