Have you ever sat next to or near a star on an airline flight? If so, what airline were you on, who were they, what class were they in, and how did they act? I sat behind the older brother from the "Wonder Years" a few weeks ago in F/C on DL, he seemed pretty nice to everyone he talked to. He also seemed to know the gate agent and F/A's...he probably flew that route often. My dad sat next to Magic Johnson on DL F/C once, he said that he moved to sit by himself as the flight was pretty empty, and that he didn't want to bother him asking for an autograph. He also sat next to a big boxer, Sugar Ray Leonard I believe...also DL F/C. What were your experiences like?

My mom had the pleasure of sharing first class with Gene Simmons and the rest of the band (KISS) a few years ago. She said they were perfect gentlemen, and Gene even carried her bag off the plane for her. Fortunately, he didn't show her the tongue- knowing her, she'd have belted him!

Flew a NW DC-9 behind NBA Star Chris Weber...don't even get him started on seat pitch!
Last summer I drained the superdragon at a urinal three down from Ted Nugent at DTW.......though you don't dare make eye contact with a guy that macho in a men's john hehehehe.

In 1997 I had the enormous pleasure of sitting a few rows behind former president Jimmy Carter on a flight from ATL to SLC on a Delta 757. He was even nice enough to through the entire plane and shake everybody's hand. He still had secret service people with him! Imagine that...

I sat next to Kylie Minogue in First on a QF flight from LHR - MEL. I hadn't the foggiest idea who she was, although I had been aware of the lounge staff fawning over her and the cabin crew did the same. I asked her who she was - she was most surprised (and miffed) I didn't know her and what she did!!
I also sat next to former US Secretary of State Cyrus Vance on Concorde from LHR-JFK; and spent a very interesting three and a half hours with him.

In the Mid-80's in FC on an AA 727, I sat across the aisle from the now late Sam Kinison on a flight from DFW to TUL. He was wearing his trademark beret and didn't speak as far as I can remember.. It was weird to see him so silent since he was such a loud comedian.

Back in the early 90s I had the unfortunate experience of being on a QF 747 flight from Perth to Singapore with the 'New Kids On The Block'. Didn't see much of them (tucked away on the upper deck). Their technicians were a bunch of snobs though! Anyways, about 20 minutes into the flight, the plane was struck by lightning!!!! Very interesting experience.
Same year (or the one ofter that, can't remember) I was on an SIA 747-300 flight from SIN-BRU in Economy sitting one row behind Canadian band 'Uzeb'. Very funny as they were featured in that month's edition of the inflight magazine (Silver Kris).
