After a flight last week I felt very unwell.I have noticed that the cabin stank of burnt oil/fuel and also dirty socks which is associated with Aerotoxic Syndrome.Since that flight,I have suffered with tremors, sweating, palpitations, coughing, headaches etc. After researching this on the internet,I found alot of infos here About the Aerotoxic Association
Has anyone here been affected by this serious condition?

The symptoms you describe are the same for a myriad of ailments. The fact that you flew just prior to the symptoms appearing could be a coincidence, or it could indicate another cause for your ills. Aircraft cabins are highly infectious environments. I've gotten sick from flying on airplanes, but it had nothing to do with Aerotoxic Syndrome and everything to do with the germs from other passengers that I encountered, which most often led to a bout of the cold or flu. I guess the question would be if anyone else from your flight is suffering from the same symptoms. But, of course, there's no way to find that out. And until/unless you do, this is a moot point, especially since Aerotoxic Syndrome is somewhat of a dubious ailment (at least it's not officially recognize by the medical field from what I know about it).

I have been working on a plane for almost 12 years now. I have breathed in pretty much every fume there is, toxic smell, not just from the plane but also some passengers!! :-P Recycled Air for hours on end on trans atlantic flights etc.... If anyone were susceptible to this syndrome it would certainly be Air Crew. I guess working in such a toxic environment, we build up an immunity of sorts to pretty much any sickness. I rarely get sick, as to many of my co workers.
