Are you saying that AA is putting their colors on TWA's Pratt-powered 757s? The 717s doesn't surprise me, but the 757s sure do. I thought AA would parked those 757s until they were either traded or sold off. Regards.

Does AA intend to keep the 717s and to keep accepting the orders? Or will they keep the ones TWA has now and sell off the ones that haven't been delivered?

TWA LLC will continue operating until final merger is complete. AA planned on trading TWA 757s to UA in exchange for US' RR powered 757s if/when UA purchased US. Since that option has now been closed, AA has some time to make another decision and until then, will continue operating TWA 757s within TWA LLC.

AA will accept up to 30 B-717s, but no more after that. Other delivery options have been either cancelled or sold to others. Management has made no decisions beyond that. Major sales effort by Boeing including one-for-one trade in of F100s for B-717s fell apart (reportedly) over AA's requirement that Boeing restrict any sale or lease of ex-AA F100s to outside North American... Boeing refused.... deal not made.

That would be weird to trade TWA's 757's for the USAirways ones. Alot of those 757's date back Eastern who operated them, whereas the TWA ones arew alot newer than most of the USAirways ones. I wonder if some money compensation was involved if the trade would have happened.
