I notice that this mornings Monarch 958 from BHX-PMI seems to have had some sort of technical issue over Orleans whilst at FL3500. Sqawked 7700 and made rapid descent. Aircraft seems to be a stand-in as was AirExplore B737-400, OM-AEX. Anymore info?....

BHX.co.uk shows the inbound ZB959 as arriving from LIG & PMI so guess it must of diverted there. Estimated to leave PMI 5h45 late.

The inbound flight would appear to be a substitute aircraft that must have flown to Limoge to pick up the stranded passengers and take them on to PMI. OM-AEX departed Limoge at 10:15 back to Birmingham although its max altitude was only FL220.....
