I just really wanted to put a shout out and a big thank you to FedEx Memphis. Due to conflicting work schedules I was not able to attend Airliners 2012 in Memphis but I was able to make yesterdays hangar and ops tour. It was excellent!!!! Two thumbs up. FedEx was so awesome in their tours at both the hangar and at their world ops. This tour was the type of tours that were given before 9/11. Only bummer I had was there were no 777's in the hangar but the 727 and MD-11 made up for that. So again if anyone one at FedEx sees this I wanted to say thank you for allowing us to come see you.

Also one of airliners.net's very own M.J. Scanlon has tons of his excellent photos hanging throughout the various buildings. If anyone ever has the opportunity to do this tour you will not be let down and I highly recommend it.

Is this a regular event? Is it open to the public? Any info for future events would be appreciated. Thanks-

It was part of the Airliners International 2012 convention in Memphis this year. It was mentioned that they do group tours still just not as much as they used to because of 9/11. Maybe someone who has ties to FedEx could fill us in on how to find out when they have these tours through out the year? I would love to go again.

I agree awesome tours. Memphis Center and Fed Ex Ops were my favorites so far . Was sad that didn't get on the ramp tour tonite. The weather has been quite active tonight to make things interesting.
